“New Frontiers in Geopolitics”
20 November 2026
The global geopolitical landscape is changing dramatically. A combination of political, economic and technological shifts is opening new frontiers in the study of geopolitics. The 2026 geopolitical conference in Prague is reflecting these changes. We welcome abstracts in following areas:
- New geostrategically important regions (Horn of Africa, the Sahel, Western Balkans, Oceania, etc.)
- Geopolitics of global commons (supply chains, open seas, the Arctic, outer space, etc.)
- New geopolitical actors and rivalries
- Future of global power distribution
- Global macrotrends in changing geopolitical environment (demographic changes, climate change, urbanization, (de-)globalization, etc.)
Send your abstracts to bohumil.dobos@fsv.cuni.cz. The deadline is 31st August 2026.
Student Involvement
The conference is an integral part of the student experience. MA and PhD students are actively encouraged to participate in the organization of the conference. This provides hands-on experience in academic event management and a unique opportunity to network directly with leading experts and decision-makers.
